QUESTION:
I have a manual flush toilet with a 60 gallon holding tank. How do I add antifreeze and how much do I need to use? Also, how do I winterize kitchen sink and shower that doesn't have holding tank? Thank you. Dennis
ANSWER:
Dennis, I assume when you manually flush the head it draws water from an inlet source. You will need to locate that source and remove the feed line and insert it into a container of anti freeze and flush the head until you see the pink antifreeze swirling in the bowl. This will assure you that the head supply system and valves are treated. As far as the holding tank it should be pumped out completely prior to freezing weather. The sinks and showers should be treated as well and you simply pour antifreeze down the drains to replace the water in P traps with antifreeze. This shouldn't take very much to do that. Dont forget bilge pumps, engines, generator, slides, wet bars on top deck
Hope this information is helpful,
Uncle Ricky
