QUESTION: hello. am looking at a 69 chriscraft 46 by 15 they say that was the first year made has a very good hull but the cabin area wasn't built with marne grade plywood thus is very rotten when redoing the cabin what is the best way to get that new look on the exterior the cabin may need totalally rebuilt ? but i don't want a redo look, this would be my first adventure into something like this any and all help would be greatly appreciated
ANSWER: Hi and thanks for writing to us. In response to your question It would be very unfair for me to give advise on this project without seeing the boat. Not knowing you dept of knowledge in the carpenter dept. makes this very difficult to advise as well. Now having said all of that, There can be great pleasures in taking something from the brink of no return and restoring it to its original condition. I will caution anyone about taking on these types of task. Seldom do they pay off finiancially. I'm really sorry I havn't been able to help you with what your looking for. Maybe If I had some detailed pictures of what we are dealing with I could better answer your questions and or offer advise. Uncle Ricky
