What is the best paint for the top of my houseboat in Sunny Arizona?
ANSWER:
Sandy, Thanks for the question. I'm actually getting ready to re-do the top on our boat in the next few weeks. I have talked to alot of vendors about this subject in reguards to different options. Options meaning product choices. After much thought I'm going to use gel-coat which in most cases is what the factory used. I have some cracking that will need attention prior to re-finishing and I plan to use fiberglass and resin for these repairs. Our boat is 18x86 and I feel it is going to take approx. $1000.00 in product cost and my free labor. I am going to take pictures and video of the refinish process as I go and write an article about how to do it. If you need info now please contact me back or stay tuned for the article.
