Deck seams can be a bit harder to pin point because the water can enter through broken chalk and travel back on the boat because most boats sit lower in the water there. Look for cracked or missing chalk as a starter. Lastly for roof leaks these are generally straight forward. Look for stains on the inside ceiling.
