Houseboat Safety Tips

It never fails. Your out on the boat having fun and a water soldier falls. If there is anything around to get hurt on our bunch will find it. Be prepared!! Put together a boater's first aid kit.

            Band-Aids

            Gauze and tape

            Hydrogen peroxide

            Rubbing Alcohol

            Septic pencil or cream

            Over the Counter Pain reliever

            Foil shock blanket

Wire snips (for cutting out fish hooks, Hope you never need this one)

            Smelling salts

            Antacid

            Imodium

            Benidril

            Allergy relief for adults

            Alka seltzer

            Baby Powder

            Tweezers

            Ice pack

            Hot packs or Heating Pad

* Its always a good idea for at least 2 people on the boat to know CPR. You don't want the only one on the boat that knows CPR to be the one that needs it.

* Make sure you have a cell phone charged at all times.

* Leave your radio on low but able to hear it if need be.

Just try to think of any situation and be prepared.

Aunt Merri says this is an important one.
