Just a short note about repairing or installing 12volt items.

 

I.e.; radios, bilge pumps, water slide pumps, etc

 

You should always use marine grade insulated wiring.

To help you identify this it looks like house type romex.

Meaning it will have two wires, red and black both insulated again in a normally grey insulation.

You NEVER use the hull or frame of the boat as a ground source.

Always run the hot and ground wires all the way to the battery.

Failure to do so can result in serious damage to you boat.
